The 2014-15 fall season for high school sports begins the 29th year of the U-T San Diego All-Academic Team. 5,435 student-athletes across the county received recognition for their academic achievement. For the 2014-15 school year, about 16,000 All-Academic Team certificates were awarded among the approximately 160,000 high school students in the San Diego Section. The All-Academic Team honors juniors and seniors who participated in a California Interscholastic Federation-approved varsity sport and maintained a cumulative, weighted grade-point average of 3.0 or better.
